The Jesse H. Jones School of Business is committed to supporting student success through scholarships, financial aid opportunities, and educational resources for undergraduate and graduate business students.

Scholarship Opportunities & Resources
Jesse H. Jones (JHJ) School of Business undergraduate scholarships are awarded to full-time students who show exceptional academic ability and exemplify good citizenship as engaged members of the community. Scholarship recipients must meet all university requirements for regular admission for the fall semester and must complete a FAFSA (U.S. Citizens) or TASFA (International). JHJ School of Business Scholarships are NOT eligible for tuition waivers. Annual scholarship awards are eligible for renewal, but is contingent upon compliance with all eligibility criteria and the availability of funds.
Application Due Dates:
The JHJ Undergraduate Scholarship application is currently open to all first-time freshmen and first-time transfer students.
High School Seniors (First Round) – Deadline: November 1
High School Seniors (Second Round) – Deadline: March 31
Continuing and Transfer Students – Deadline: June 14
*Incomplete applications will not be considered.

John Odom Scholarship
Scholarship Information:
The Jesse H. Jones (JHJ) School of Business is pleased to present the JHJ School of Business Alumni Chapter John Odom Scholarship Award to sophomore, junior, and senior business majors who demonstrate the highest levels of intellectual and personal achievement and have potential to become active alumni who will support the university and contribute to their communities.
The Texas Southern University National Alumni Association, Inc. – Jesse H. Jones School of Business Alumni Chapter (JHJAC) will award a total of (3) scholarships to full-time sophomores, juniors, and seniors – (1) $1,000 scholarship and (2) $500 scholarships.

Kase and Eileen Lawal Endowed Scholarship
The Jesse H. Jones School of Business is pleased to present the prestigious and highly competitive Kase and Eileen Lawal Endowed Scholarship opportunity to business students with an interest in international business and global trade. The scholarship is matched by the President’s Leadership Scholarship (PLS), allowing scholarship recipients to receive a $2,500 Lawal award, in addition to a $1,000 PLS award. Scholarship awards will be distributed to recipients’ TSU student accounts in the spring semester. The scholarship is renewable.
Lawal Endowed Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Scholarship Application Requirements:
- Demonstrated coursework – Official transcript from all colleges/universities attended (transcripts must be in a sealed envelope from the registrar)
- Short essay (500 words, double-spaced) describing your interest in international business and global trade as a career focus
- One letter of recommendation from a current or recent professor, student affairs staff, or employer
- Professional Resume’
- Professional Headshot (color)

Scholarship Information:
Thurgood Marshall College Fund offers unique merit and need-based scholarships that are designed to address the financial needs of students attending a TMCF member-school or other accredited colleges or universities (if applicable). The awards process is highly competitive and is given to outstanding and qualified students who plan to earn a baccalaureate, graduate or law degree. Most scholarships are one year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated. Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, or national origin.
