Traditional African Art Gallery
247+ pieces from West, Central, and East Africa. A campus tradition since 1949. Fosters
research and appreciation in African heritage.
Heartman Collection
Over 22,000 volumes including books, slave narratives, pamphlets, music, and rare
documents. One of the Southwest’s largest African American archives—open for research
and inspiration.
Barbara Jordan Archives
Official papers and memorabilia of Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, civil rights leader
and TSU alumna. Includes photos, speeches, and a digital timeline.
