• Partnership Overview: Texas Southern University works closely with school districts to provide coordinated advising and structured academic pathways. Each high school pathway has been aligned with university degree plans.
• Counselor Role: Counselors play a vital role in confirming high school graduation requirements and
assisting with scheduling coordination.
• MOU & Agreements: Institutional agreements (MOUs) govern the delivery and funding of dual enrollment
courses.
Sterling High School
Sterling High School’s partnership with Texas Southern University provides students with a powerful head start in aviation. This dual-enrollment opportunity allows students to earn college credit and develop industry-relevant skills while still completing their high school education.
Current Courses Offered:
• AVSM 1313 — Introduction to Flight (3 credits)
• AVSM 1320 — Transportation Survey (3 credits)
