The recreation center natatorium is a 25-meter pool that extends from 4-12ft in depth. Our trained staff is knowledgeable in teaching water aerobics, swim classes, and lifeguard training. There is also a diving board and a high-tech sound system available at your disposal.

Adult Learn to Swim
Adults are able to learn to swim with an experienced instructor in a sage and comfortable environment. We offer beginner classes for those who need to be introduced to basic swim techniques, and advanced classes for individuals wanting to strengthen their swim skills. Aqua Zumba
This basic water aerobics class is designed so that everyone, including the non- swimmer, can begin enjoying aquatics. Water exercise can make you stronger, more flexible and often thinner. It also relaxes tight muscles, refreshes you and is unlikely to cause injuries. Aqua Zumba classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:15pm.
Lifeguard Training
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and other TSU Recreation & Wellness Center members are welcome to join. Minimum age to take class is 16. Swim skills pretest. To teach lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and prevent drowning and injuries. Register Now for Lifeguard Training

Class Participant Maximum:

Course Fee:
- $50 for TSU Faculty & Staff Members (Cash, Check or Money Order)
- $40 for Students (Cash Only)
Payments:
- All payments must be made at Recreation center member services desk within seven days of the start date for each class
- Payments will only be accepted after customer has completed online registration
- Departments can pay for courses via the Interdepartmental transfer system
Refund Policy:
- All refunds must be requested in writing at least three (3) days before the scheduled class date. No class fees will be refunded after that date

What is the Outdoor Adventure Program?
The Outdoor Adventure Program is a unit of Campus Recreation that provides outdoor recreational learning opportunities for students. It accomplishes this by providing facilities and services through various outdoor trips throughout the semester, classes on campus, and other events.*PLEASE NOTE: Each trip has a pre-trip training course which is mandatory for all participants*
