The Undergraduate ETS Exit Exam is a 120-multiple choice question test that covers
the business education common core (includes accounting, economics, finance, business
law, management, marketing, quantitative analysis, as well as addresses important
social and international considerations of modern business operations) and is administered
online. A computer with Windows 10+ and Microsoft Edge web browser can be used for
testing. The latest version of Windows products can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center. Additionally, a computer with Mac OS Mojave 10.14+ and Safari 13+ web browser can
be for testing. The latest version of Mac products can be downloaded from the Mac Support site. However, Chromebooks, iPads, or other devices are not compatible for testing. Testing time required for the Undergraduate ETS Exit Exam is 2 hours, in addition
to 30 minutes for check-in and systems readiness check. Test scores are reported on
a scale of 120-200.
All testing will be administered virtually using online tests with remote proctoring.
Prior to test day, you must perform the System Check to ensure that your computer
meets the system requirements to test your speaker, microphone, camera, and internet
bandwidth. On test day, you must prepare your test location by ensuring that you are
in a quiet, well-lit, private location that is clear of any items with no light source behind you, use a personal computer with only one monitor, be prepared to present a valid ID
with a recognizable photo, and be prepared to present your single sheet of blank white
scratch paper inside of a plastic sleeve or a small whiteboard with dry-erase marker
at the start and end of your testing session. Additionally, you will receive more
detailed information for test day preparation once your registration is complete.
Students who login late on test day will not be permitted to test and will be required
to re-schedule from remaining test dates.
No; only scratch paper and a pencil are allowed. You may only use a sheet of blank
white paper, inserted into a transparent plastic sleeve or a small whiteboard with
dry-erase marker. You will be required to show your scratch paper to the proctor prior to testing and
erase it on camera before you will be permitted to exit the testing session. The use of any of the following are strictly prohibited during testing: cell phones, books, notes, dictionaries (including electronic), compasses,
calculators (including smartwatches), rulers, headphones, watch alarms, tablets, or
any other items. Cell phones and other electronic devices must be removed from the
area. Additionally, you can only have one computer monitor.
No; public locations such as coffee shops and computer labs are not permitted. However,
if you experience technical issues with online testing, you must submit a request
to the Dean’s Office via Erica.Vallier@tsu.edu to test in the JHJ School of Business 2nd Floor Computer Lab (JHJ-232) with a proctor. Testing in any other campus computer lab is not allowed and strictly prohibited. Use of private internet connection such as corporate networks, hotel networks or
government connects will likely prohibit the use of the required technology due to
the network’s firewalls and is prohibited.
