Returning to TSU? Here's What You Need to Know

If you've previously attended Texas Southern University but have been away for a year or more, it's time to reconnect! Explore re-enrollment options, academic resources, and financial aid opportunities to resume your journey at TSU. We're here to support your successful return and help you achieve your educational goals.

Complete the re-admission application on www.applytexas.org to apply for readmission. Thank you for your interest in returning to Texas Southern University.

What to Submit

  • Complete an application for readmission
  • Meet the minimum program requirements (see appropriate college or school)
  • Submit transcripts from other colleges if applicable

NOTE: Students who are Permanent Residents of the United States must supply certified copies of both front and back sides of their federal Green Card along with the admission application. Also, students who are not in good academic standing, need to contact their dean's office. This is a requirement to be readmitted.

The Re-Enrollment Process

  1. Complete Readmission Application

    Apply online through ApplyTexas.orgIf you haven't been enrolled for more than two semesters, complete the free returning student application on ApplyTexas.

     

  2. Complete your Financial Aid

    Fafsa: fafsa.gov, TSU Code: 003642Submit or update your FAFSA for the upcoming term and provide any required documents.

  3. Review Academic Status & Clear Holds

    Check your status in myTSU.Review your academic status, review your financial aid package, resolve any holds, and set up a payment plan if needed.

  4. Meet with your Academic Advisor

    Schedule your advising appointment online.Review your degree plan, discuss your pathway, and select your courses.

  5. Register for Classes

  6. You're re-enrolled!

    Welcome back to TSU! We're excited to have you on campus.Access myTSU, review your class schedule, and get ready for success this term.
