Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) SOAR HBCU Scholars Program

Unlock Your Future with the TMCF SOAR Scholars Program at TSU!

The TMCF SOAR (Seeking, Observing, and Achieving Results) Scholars Program at Texas Southern University offers high-achieving high school juniors (rising seniors) a one-week residential college prep experience in June, for free. Participants will learn about HBCU & HBCC institutions, college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities, while also discovering career pathways, academic programs, campus life, and more.  

The 2027 TMCF SOAR Program application is not available at this time.

  • Eligibility: Current high school juniors (Class of 2028) with a Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (preferred). Eligible students must participate in the program during the summer before their senior year.
