How to Obtain Parking Permit Decal

Apply below Parking Payroll Deduction Form and and print out the application
Go to West garage with following items:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Auto Insurance Card
- Current TSU Faculty/Staff ID Card
- Completed Payroll Deduction form

General Parking (Exterior Lots)
- General/Non reserved decal holders are prohibited from parking in spaces that are marked reserved.
- During Special Events and/or Campus Events faculty/staff members that have reserved and premier parking access are not guaranteed parking availability in their designated parking spaces during any event.
- All general premier parking spaces shall be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Any vehicle removed from Texas Southern University for violating parking rules and regulations will be towed to a City of Houston tow lot off-campus, which will result in fines and storage fees. (To retrieve vehicle information and location The City of Houston tow line number is 713.308.8580.)
Premier Parking (Interior Lots – non-reserved)
- 70% of all Interior lot spaces shall be allocated for Premier Parking decals.
- 30% of all Interior lot spaces shall be allocated for “Reserved” parking.
- Premier parking decal holders shall be permitted to park in any space (Exterior or Interior Lots and Garages) that is not allocated for 24/7 Reserved decal holders.
- • All general premier parking spaces shall be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
24/7 Reserved

- 30% of all interior lot parking spaces will be allocated for 24/7 Reserved decals and will be identified with proper markings.
24/7 Reserved parking permits will be available for all faculty, staff, and administrators. Faculty will no longer need to make a request from their dean for 24/7 Reserved parking. If you have a 24/7 Reserved spot, you may only park in your assigned spot or in General Parking – not in Premier spots.
- Reserved permit holders cannot give permission for any other vehicle to park in the designated reserved space (Reserved spaces should only be occupied by the owner’s vehicle)
- During Special Events and/or Campus Events faculty/staff members that have reserved and premier parking access are not guaranteed parking availability in their designated parking spaces during any event.
Tram Service
Tram service operates Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. The shuttle bus will be used as a park & ride, offering courtesy rides for faculty, staff, and students.
access card
- Access cards are programmed to access faculty/staff parking lots only. Including both East and West Garages.
- Cards are non- transferable.
- Cards will be deactivated at the end of year and reactivated only after purchase of a parking permit for the subsequent year.
- Each entry with the access card must be followed by an exit with the access card. An attempt to allow someone else to enter using your card after you have entered will result in access being denied. This is recorded as an anti-pass back violation which cost $25.00 for a reactivation fee. Anti-pass back violations are subject to fines and/or revocation of campus parking privileges.
- Access cards must be returned at the end of tenure at TSU.
- A $15.00 fee will be assessed on each replacement for lost, damaged or stolen cards. Replacement cards will be purchased directly from Bursar’s Office ”E.O Bell Building”, must bring paid receipt to the Westside Garage Parking Department for replacement access card.
